Ildefonso Audelo Lopez was born in the great state of Sinaloa
in Mexico, during a time when men were men and the Joy of life
was experienced through simple pleasures. Ildefonso grew up in
a town by the name of Badiraguato where he and his family worked
the land to make a living. At a very young age the Audelo boys
learned to be men. Their father and mother passed away when young
Ildefonso was only fourteen years old. He quickly learned what
it meant to take care of himself and those he loved. Life was
tough by our standards, there were no cars, no running water and
life was much like Little House on the Prairie meets the Wild
Wild West.
Ildefonso and his brothers would wake up early in the morning and
head for the mountains to work "tumbano leña",
cutting wood, and tending to their crops. It was tough work, but
he enjoyed being out in the open with his brothers and friends.
Sometimes after a hard days work, the Audelo men would decide
to postpone their trip back to town and sleep under the Sinaloa
sky. Life was good despite their early hardships.
